instead of "oh look, sean astin is walking in the door right next to you," i watch as matt's head darts to the center of our table and loudly whispers "samwise gamgee!" [much as i did the other day at trader joe's]. i follow his eyes behind me and see, yes, samwise gamgee standing at the hostess stand.
