today at work i went to a showcase at paramount studios to see none other than my boy
GAVIN DEGRAW!
OOOH!! AHHH!! GAVIN!!!!

i've been to quite a few of these showcases by now, and over the months i've come to recognize the crew that is usually present. today, however, i hardly saw a soul i recognized.
that's when i realized that today's crowd of about 60 was filled to the brim with young women.
young women who never venture out to support the indie acts that are usually showcased.
young women who "cooly" introduce themselves to gavin degraw in the elevator.
young women who, after meeting mr. degraw, scuttle away with their friends whispering, "That was the best moment of my LIFE!"
young women with whom i do not associate.
