at least they have hot dogs

i just spent 3 hours at ikea.
mom has been wanting to go to one for about 5 years now.
i haven't been in awhile, and tonight i remembered why.
we went in for a pillow.

we came out with a pillow, a quilt cover, a bathmat, a small wooden table, food bowls for the cats [back in ny], 12 juice glasses, 2 candle holders, a potato peeler, swedish cereal, and 3 cacti.
however, all of the crowds, the pushing, the shoving, the 'i just want to get out of here' maze - all of the eye-twitching stress was worth it for that hot dog waiting for me just beyond the check out line. the best 50 cents one could ever spend, hands down.

we also went to the getty museum.
mom and dad are in town and i'm trying to bring them to 'second visit' worthy places, the getty being one of those places. it was beyond gorgeous, and a good time was had by all, despite my mother getting yelled at for using flash photography [twice].
